Rainforest ex-cruciate

Rainforest (ex)cruciate: From the Vine, a Blood Offering to the Deathking- This piece was inspired by a trip I took to the Amazon jungle outside of Manaus Brazil. It is a homage to the healing power of the "vine of the souls" and it's ability to even save Christianities twisted and perverted Christ figure. A figure representing their crucified savior who in their name has brought death to many indigenous peoples, women and other heretics throughout history. A figure who needs healing itself, and that nature which the bible considers corrupt, could in fact be the savior of their savior.
